Should Glaswegian children be given lessons in etiquette and how to speak properly at school?

Or, as adults, at the Job Centre?

How dare you use offensive language....."JOBCENTRE" and "GLASWEGIAN"

All children should be given lessons in etiquette which after all is only manners and everyone should be taught to speak properly. Speaking properly does not necessarily mean getting rid of accents though but being able to communicate. I don't know why you picked on Glaswegian children because if there is a problem it is nationwide.

It's rather narrow-minded to assume the entire population of Glasgow is unemployed and unintelligible. There are many different dialects and to suggest people should be ashamed of where they come from is, frankly, heinous.

I like the glaswegian accent!

I also think 'accent correction' is a little racist as there is no correct way to speak. Your way of speaking is unintelligible to others.

No you can never remove a strong accent like Glaswegian. It would be the same as trying to remove the scouse accent from Liverpudlians.

We speak beautifully.

Why are we picking on Glasgow here. In my experience Glaswegians are amongst the most friendly and polite people in the UK. Now, Londoners............

Not unless they intend leaving to find work.

and perhaps racism, something you clearly don't understand
