my friend has a great i dea and i have nothing i feel so pathetic i don't want to do something that sucks! I need something that is coll my friends doing the oscars which is coll i want domething like that but exzctly because then it would be like copying right? nothing like abuse abortion marriage drugs violence no freaky stuff please help! i'm in grade 8 by the way!
Speech topic? How about something relevant, like talking about Obama and how it might change the world. It will obviously alter life in America, but I think our relations with America will improve changing our lives, as well as giving the world, and especially ethnic minorities, hope.
Or you could talk about a medical issue, or an issue about poverty? This could be poverty in the UK or in another country.
To be honest, I think the oscars is a pretty rubbish topic - here's your chance to show that you're more mature than your friend.
If you do want something more main-stream and in popular culture, how about talking about your favourite film and all the work involved in making it? Something like Lord of the rings could keep you talking for hours! Stunt men, models, special effects, filming on-scene in new Zealand... Or a band?
do a speech on golf... it's become a bit of a craze.
and personally i think it's the strangest sport-- you hit down and the ball goes up, you swing left for the ball to go right, the lowest score wins, and the winner buys the drinks!
